This pic was taken in 1960 for Oklahoma Ranch and Farm World. The artical was titled "From Bukin' Broncs To Buckin Diesels" From left to right- my dad Bo, Uncle Jiggs, Uncle Joe, Uncle J and Uncle Bill.
The artical featured that the Lewis Brothers decided to quit trying for championship buckles at rodeos and settle down. They organized Lewis Brothers Livestock Express, with a fleet of 7 diesels and started trucking animals near and far.
Finding this little piece of history is great! My dad is now the only one left, and still lives in the house you see in this pic. Even though I get frustrated with him when he gets going on some of his stories. Its great that my son gets to see and hear this kind of family history and its just an added bonus that he sees his Pa-pa Bo as a big cowboy.
